🚧 Behind the K-Rail: Week of August 3

There’s a lot happening behind the k-rail!

This week, crews continue drilling eight 66-foot-deep holes on each side of the riverbed below the Mission Boulevard Bridge (16 total) and placing reinforced concrete piles to create the foundation for the northern bridge span. Crews are also continuing to install rebar and forms for the retaining walls that will support the new bridge.

⚠️ Reminder: The Santa Ana River Trail adjacent to the Mission Boulevard Bridge remains closed on weekdays through August 12 and reopens on weekends. Please follow posted signage and use alternate access routes as needed.

As construction continues, please slow down in the project area, watch for crews, and share the road with cyclists.
