🦉✅ Environmental Stewardship Along the Santa Ana River  

Earlier in the project, a great horned owl nest was identified near the Mission Boulevard Bridge Project site and protected by the project’s environmental team.  

With monitoring and protective measures in place, the nest successfully fledged and the owl family completed its nesting cycle in May 2026 — an important milestone for the project’s environmental stewardship efforts.  

Biological monitoring and environmental protections continue throughout construction to help support local wildlife along the Santa Ana River corridor.
