Concrete work continues as crews construct piles, columns, and abutments that will support the new northern bridge span.
- Crews are drilling 136-foot-deep holes into the riverbed, placing steel cages inside and filling the holes with concrete to create the foundations for bridge columns.
- More concrete placements for piles and columns are planned in the coming weeks.
- Upon completion, crews will begin building the falsework, a temporary wooden structure that supports the bridge deck during construction.
